RRS, in collaboration with UNHCR and partners, marked the 2024 World Refugee Day in Addis Ababa themed “#SolidarityWithRefugees”.
Two papers titled “Socio-economic Survey of Refugees in Ethiopia and Prospects Analysis; and Trends and Patterns of Forced Displacement Studies in Ethiopia: Evidence from a Scoping Study” were presented.
Following the presentations, discussion was held with panelists from RRS, UNHCR, INKOMOKO and refugee representatives.
The event was made colorful with music performance, cultural show, arts and enterprises exhibitions by refugees and of host community talent show.
Meanwhile, the Day was also celebrated across refugee camps in Ethiopia, particularly at Kebribeyah camp with plenty of activities.
This year’s advocacy has been tailored at creating a world where refugees are welcomed.
