Enkutatash, Happy New Year!

Enkutatash, Happy New Year!

The month of September is the dawn of ‘Ethiopian New Year’ when the dark winter months are over and the plains and valleys are decorated with lush flora and ‘Adey Abeba’; and the sky is clear because the cloud is gone. IIt is often refreshing and sheds light on the future.

September is when people reflect on the ups and downs of life they have been through and make plans to have a year full of peace, success and development.

The beginning of the ‘New Year’ is the time not only individuals but also organizations and institutions renew their commitment to succeed with a new spirit. They consult their employees, stakeholders and partners to fill shortcomings, build on successes and achieve better results.

In spite of internal and global challenges, Refugees and Returnees Service (RRS) has managed to respond to those in urgent need, including thousands of refugees and asylum seekers fleeing neighboring Sudan and Las Anod area. At this point, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to my staff and management team, stakeholders and partners that played significant role at every level.

I wish you all a year full of peace, unity, success and prosperity!
