Refugees and Returnees Service Jigjiga Branch Office, in collaboration with the World Bank, is conducting training for refugees and hosts in Jigjiga town. The project, dubbed Refugees and Host Communities Integration through Safety Net (RHISN), is an extension of public work program to refugees.
The intention of the training is to support refugees and host communities through job creation in urban productive safety net programs like urban cleaning and urban greenery. Refugees and hosts are required to work daily for few hours.
The beneficiaries will be paid ETB 120 per day and the idea is they will save some amount in the Project period to graduate to full self-reliant activities. A total of 2259 households (1310 hosts and 949 refugees) will benefit from the Project.
