As a symbol of gratitude, Refugees and Returnees Service – RRS has presented a gift to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees @FilippoGrandi during his recent visit to Ethiopia.
The gift was presented to the HC in appreciation for his commitment to refugee protection, his support for Ethiopia’s inclusive response and his solidarity with displaced populations and their host populations.
Such moments reflect the strong partnership between Ethiopia and UNHCR in advancing shared responsibility of dignity, resilience and sustainable solutions for refugees and their hosts.
@FilippoGrandi also took the stage to thank Ethiopia and its people for graciously hosting over 1.1 million refugees and asylum seekers fleeing man-made and natural catastrophes and praised the country’s pioneering and progressive refugee policies.
