Right after the visit to #Kurmuk, RRS DG and UN Refugee Agency HC Filippo Grandi met with Benishangul-Gumuz state chief Ashadli Hassen.
Ashadli highlighted that the Government of Ethiopia is closely following the situation of Sudanese refugees and asylum seekers sheltered at Kurmuk temporary site.
He said given that the people of Ethiopia and the Sudan share a lot of commonalities, it is the deep-rooted tradition of Ethiopians to lend hands for those in need.
On the occasion, DG Teyiba and HC Filippo thanked the federal and regional governments for graciously hosting those who seek safety and stability.
