A total of 164 Ethiopian citizens who faced difficult circumstances in Beirut, Lebanon have safely returned home.
Up on arrival at Bole International Airport, they were warmly welcomed by senior officials, including Consular Affairs Director General Amb. Siraj Rashid, Refugees and Returnees Service Director General Teyiba Hassen and Deputy Commissioner General for Federal Police Zelalem Mengiste.
A national committee, in charge of coordinating this effort under the chairmanship of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has so far facilitated the return of 758 citizens.
The Government of Ethiopia remains committed to protect the dignity of its citizens and ensure their safe reintegration into society.
