The closing session of the capacity-building program hosted at Adama Science and Technology University for RRS administration staff dwelt on an in-depth discussion on governance, organizational ethics and anti-corruption strategies.

This final segment provided a platform for staff to strengthen their skills, exchange experiences and explore innovative approaches aimed at promoting good governance and enhancing institutional responsiveness.

Far more than technical exercise, the program fostered collaboration among colleagues, deepened a shared sense of purpose and reinforced RRS’ commitment to delivering effective, people-centered services.

Facilitators also seized the opportunity to provide participants with valuable insights into the core principles of the recently launched Makatet Roadmap—Ethiopia’s strategic initiative designed to enhance refugee response.

While the successful implementation of the framework calls for the concerted effort and active engagement of relevant actors, Refugees and Returnees Service (RRS) will assume a central role as it is a government-led initiative.

The training, which covered a gamut of topics over a period of three days, was organized by RRS in partnership with the World Bank’s Eastern Africa Regional Digital Integration Project (EARDIP) under the Ministry of Innovation and Technology.
