Refugees and Returnees Service (RRS), with financial support from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, has launched the second-round advanced training on Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Market System Development (MSD) and Early Childhood Development (ECD).
The training commenced with an insightful session on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) within the Ethiopia refugee response by Deputy Director General Mulualem Desta, providing participants with an overview of the importance of effective M&E in strengthening evidence-based planning, implementation, tracking and reporting.
Participants also received a comprehensive orientation on the implementation of the Makatet Roadmap by DG Advisor Zewdu Bedada followed by interactive reflections and discussions that enabled them to share experiences, identify practical considerations and deepen their understanding of its implementation.
The upcoming sessions will focus on M&E Foundational Concepts and Digital M&E Tools, equipping participants with practical knowledge and skills to strengthen operational tracking, data management, performance monitoring and reporting across RRS operations.
The training forms part of RRS’ ongoing efforts to strengthen its institutional and technical capacities of its staff and enhance the effectiveness, accountability and sustainability of Ethiopia’s refugee response.
Staff from the Head Office and Refugee Centers under Gambella and Assosa Branch Offices are in attendance to the four-day workshop.
