Huge Congratulations to ETHIOPIA!

ETHIOPIA has been elected Chair of the 78th Session of UNHCR’s Executive Committee!

This’s a historic recognition to its commitment to refugee protection, hospitality and solidarity as it hosts over 1.2 million refugees and asylum seekers.

እንኳን ደስ አለን! እንኳን ደስ አላችሁ! ኢትዮጵያ የተባበሩት መንግሥታት የስደተኞች ከፍተኛ ኮሚሽን የ78ኛው ሥራ አስፈጻሚ ኮሚቴ ሊቀ መንበር ሆና ተመረጠች፡፡

RRS Director General Tayiba Hassen briefed concerned parties in Geneva about the progress, emerging lessons and government priorities for advancing Ethiopia’s settlement-based approach to Sudanese refugees.

Today, Tomorrow Is Better, a refugee-led organization (RLO), provided scholastic materials to refugee and host community students from low-income families, supporting their continued access to education and learning opportunities.

RRS today received a Kenyan Multi-Agency Delegation for a courtesy call to discuss the situation of Kenyan refugees in Dillo and Megado, Borena Zone, Oromia Region, and advance preparations for voluntary, dignified repatriation and reintegration in their country of origin.

RRS with financial support from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, has launched the second-round advanced training on Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Market System Development (MSD) and Early Childhood Development (ECD).

RRS with financial support from the World Food Programme (WFP), has successfully concluded the capacity-building training for staff drawn from its head office and branch offices in Adama City.
