The IGAD High-Level Conference on Development Responses to Forced Displacement took place in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Conference dwelt on experiences, learnings, opportunities and challenges at community, national and regional level.
On the occasion, RRS DG Teyiba Hassen said: “Member States need to facilitate enabling environment for refugees and communities hosting them toward resilience and reliance.”
Teyiba also called on relevant actors to support government initiatives tailored at responding to displacement situations.
The High-Level Conference also highlighted the impact that investments are having on access to social services to communities affected by displacement.
