The training workshop on “Access to Inclusive Justice for Refugee Children in Ethiopia” has successfully concluded, marking an important milestone in strengthening the capacity of refugee representatives.
Over the course of the program, participants engaged in thorough discussions and contextualized sessions that explored the challenges refugee children face in accessing justice, as well as the legal frameworks and institutional mechanisms available to protect their rights.
The workshop provided a platform for representatives to share experiences and learn from experts to help them ensure that refugee children are not left behind in matters of justice and protection.
This collective approach emphasized the importance of building inclusive systems that recognize the vulnerabilities of children while empowering refugee leaders to advocate effectively on their behalf.
Reflecting on their impression, the participants expressed a renewed commitment to championing the rights of refugee children, ensuring that justice is not only accessible but also responsive to their unique circumstances.
The event was organized by Refugees and Returnees Service (RRS) with the financial support of UNICEF.
A training workshop for regional justice actors and related practitioners on the same topical area will commence tomorrow in Jigjiga city of the Somali Regional State.
