Refugees and Returnees Service (RRS) has launched a comprehensive training program in Adama city on the Makatet Roadmap, Organizational Ethics and Good Governance and Ethics and Anti-Corruption Principles.
The initiative is designed to equip participants with both theoretical knowledge and experience sharing, marking a significant milestone in the Service’s ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional capacity and enhance service delivery.
In his opening remarks, RRS Deputy Director General Yaekob Yala said the training is of high importance to strengthen effective leadership and encourage managers and staff alike to embrace practices that inspire trust, fairness and accountability.
Yaekob noted that beyond individual learning, the program serves as a collective exercise in fostering cohesion and facilitate better understanding among the trainees and urged them to share what they gained to fellows at their respective duty stations.
This shared commitment to governance principles ensures that RRS continues to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, while also reinforcing its role as a trusted institution dedicated to serving refugees with dignity and humanity, he underlined.
Organized by the financial support of the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, the program has brought together staff from the Head Office and Branch Offices and management teams across various tiers, creating a shared platform for learning, dialogue and professional growth.
