The meeting aimed to explore opportunities for collaboration and strengthen partnership between the two entities, particularly in the areas of return and reintegration of migrants and refugees.

During the meeting, the Maltese delegation received a comprehensive briefing about Refugees and Returnees Service (RRS) and its role in managing refugee and returnee affairs in Ethiopia.

They were also informed about Returnee Reintegration Project Management Office (RRPMO), which focuses on facilitating the sustainable reintegration of returnees into their communities.

After the briefing, the two sides engaged in a productive discussion on potential areas of collaboration, exploring ways to enhance partnership, particularly in the fields of return and reintegration.

Both parties expressed their commitment to working together to address the challenges faced by refugees and returnees, with a focus on creating sustainable solutions that benefit individuals and communities alike.

The meeting underscored the importance of international cooperation in addressing migration and reintegration issues, where both sides agreed to uphold their dialogue to further the partnership and achieve shared goals.
