“#ID4Africa2024″ Annual General Meeting has kicked-off in Cape Town, South Africa

#ID4Africa2024” Annual General Meeting has kicked-off in Cape Town, South Africa on 21 May 2024 under the theme: “Digital Identity as DPI: Fostering Trust, Inclusion & Adoption”.

Ethiopian delegation, including RRS Director General Teyiba Hassen and National ID Ethiopia Executive Director Yodahe Zemichael are participating in the meeting.

On the occasion, Yodahe Zemichael has presented Ethiopia’s #Fayda strategy and updated the high-level gathering on the current status of the initiative.

In line with its commitment to documentation, the Government of Ethiopia is providing digital IDs to refugees to facilitate their access to services.

To date, more than 3,000 of them have got #Fayda number, where the initiative is set to expand nationwide.

This edition of the “Annual General Meeting” marks the 10th anniversary of “#ID4Africa” and the Identity for Development (ID4D) Movement.
