On 02 March 2026, Prime Minister @AbiyAhmedAli hosted an Iftar dinner for refugees from Burundi, DRC, Somalia, Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Afghanistan, Eritrea, Yemen & Sudan.
The PM said the moment reflects the spirit of Ramadan—compassion, solidarity and shared humanity—while underscoring Ethiopia’s long-lasting commitment to mutual coexistence and humanity.
He also reaffirmed the values Ethiopia and its people attach to hospitality and unity, highlighting that supporting refugees and vulnerable communities is not only a humanitarian duty but also a reflection of the nation’s established culture of mutual respect.
The gathering served as a powerful reminder that empathy, compassion and togetherness remain essential pillars to strengthen collective progress and future destiny.
