Refugees and Returnees Service (RRS) hosted a South Sudanese delegation led by John Dominic Dabi, Deputy Commissioner of Refugee Affairs.
The delegation was welcomed by RRS Deputy Director General Bruhtesfa Mulugeta and his team at the Service’s Head Office.
During the meeting, RRS team provided a comprehensive briefing on the institutional mandate and operational structure of Refugees and Returnees Service.
The delegation was also introduced to the Maktaet Roadmap, highlighting its strategic objectives and implementation framework aimed at strengthening refugee protection, inclusion and service delivery.
In addition, detailed discussions were held on RRS’ approaches to refugee registration and documentation, focusing on systems, procedures and best practices.
The engagement served as a platform for experience sharing and constructive dialogue on refugee management and coordination between the two countries.
Both sides underlined the importance of continued collaboration and knowledge exchange to enhance protection and support mechanisms for refugees.
