Refugees and Returnees Service (RRS), with financial support from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, is conducting a capacity-building training in Adama city, focusing on Early Childhood Development (ECD) and refugee economic inclusion.

The program is designed to improve the insights of the Service’s staff and of stakeholders by deepening their understanding of the Two-Generation (2-Gen) Model — an integrated approach that supports the developmental needs of young children and the socio-economic empowerment of their caregivers.

By linking child wellbeing with household resilience, the training promotes holistic interventions that would enhance early learning and protection while expanding access to livelihoods, financial inclusion and self-reliance opportunities for refugee and host communities.

The initiative seeks to foster more coordinated, evidence-based programming that improves long-term outcomes for refugee families and contributes to sustainable inclusion within national systems.
