On Monday afternoon, the President of Population Council Rana Hajjeh paid a courtesy visit to Refugees and Returnees Service (RRS), marking a significant step toward fostering stronger ties between the two organizations.
Hajjeh was warmly welcomed by RRS Deputy Director General Mulualem Desta, where they underscored the shared commitment of both institutions to addressing the challenges faced by refugees and host communities in Ethiopia.
In their bilateral discussions, the two sides explored potential areas of collaboration, with a particular focus on generating actionable data, which is critical for effectively monitoring and evaluating the support provided to refugees and host communities.
Hajjeh emphasized the importance of evidence-based approaches in shaping policies and programs that improve the lives of displaced populations.
The two sides also exchanged ideas on addressing existing gaps in refugee operations to enhance service delivery, strengthen coordination among stakeholders and improve the overall efficiency of refugee response efforts.
The President commended @RRSEthiopia for its dedication to supporting refugees, while the Deputy Director General highlighted the value of partnering with the Population Council to leverage expertise and resources for greater impact.
