The Training of Trainers Workshop, held in Adama city starting 14 May 2026 on the “Justice for Children Training Manual,” has successfully concluded, marking an important milestone in strengthening the capacity of RRS protection staff.

Over the course of the workshop, participants demonstrated strong engagement to enhance their knowledge, skills and facilitation techniques to effectively deliver the training to regional justice actors and refugee representatives.

Through interactive sessions, group discussions and contextualized exercises, the workshop broadened the understanding of participants on child rights, child-friendly justice and the legal and institutional frameworks that support the protection and well-being of refugee children.

Speaking on the closing session, Protection Director @ RRS Daba Lemessa encouraged trainees to attach serious importance in translating the knowledge they gained into concrete actions.

He also noted that the success of the workshop would be measured by the participants’ ability to promote child-centered justice practices and strengthen protection systems across all levels.

The workshop, organized by RRS in partnership with UNICEF and delivered with the support of Addis Ababa University, represents a significant step toward building a stronger and more informed pool of trainers.
