Refugees and Returnees Service (RRS), with financial support from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, has launched a capacity-building training in Adama. The training focuses on Ethiopia’s Refugee Response, Refugee Rights, Socio-Economic Inclusion, and related thematic areas.
The program brings together media professionals, RRS communication focal persons, and staff from both Head Office and Branch Offices. It aims to enhance awareness and strengthen understanding of Ethiopia’s refugee response framework, refugee rights, and strategies for promoting socio-economic inclusion.
Speaking at the opening session, RRS Deputy Director General Mulualem Desta emphasized the importance of strengthening the existing partnership with the Hilton Foundation to a higher level. He noted that achieving this goal requires the active and committed engagement of all participants.
DDG Mulualem further underscored that media institutions should go beyond contractual obligations and contribute proactively, viewing their role as part of their corporate social responsibility in supporting refugee protection and inclusion efforts.
